A few days ago, PUBG Corporation and KRAFTON joined hands with Microsoft to use its Azure platform to host portfolio of multi-platform products. For many mobile gamers in India, this came as a ray of hope, indicating that PUBG Mobile might make a comeback in the country. The same has now been confirmed. PUBG Corporation and KRAFTON today announced the launch of PUBG MOBILE INDIA. The new title is said to be made specifically for the Indian market.

Also mentioned is that the firm plans to provide a “secure and healthy” gameplay environment alongside investments to cultivate local video game, esports, entertainment, and IT industries. It is also keeping privacy and security in mind. For this, PUBG Corporation will conduct regular audits and verifications on the storage systems holding Indian users’ personally identifiable information to reinforce security and ensure that their data is safely managed.

In addition, the in-game content will be improved and tailored to reflect local needs while various aspects of the game will be customized for Indian gamers. This includes the game now being set in a virtual simulation training ground, new characters automatically starting clothed, and green hit effects to reflect the virtual nature of the game. Also, the company will include a feature that places restrictions on game time to promote healthy gameplay habits for younger players.

Other than this, the firm plans to create an Indian subsidiary to enhance communications and services with players. And for this, the Indian company will hire over 100 employees specializing in business, esports, and game development. In addition to establishing a local office, the company will look to actively collaborate and leverage local businesses to strengthen its gaming service.

Both PUBG Corporation and Krafton are investing $100 million USD in India as well to help boost the local video game, esports, entertainment, and IT industries.
